Alice Springs, NT—After dominating the 2025 Motorsport Australia Off Road Championship (AORC) with co-driver Paul Currie, Travis Robinson secured the title after the final Kalgoorlie event last October. His older brother Beau finished the season in runner-up. It was an amazing way to end the 2025 season and after taking the crown, Travis Robinson mulled riding off into the sunset.

Back for more. The pull of desert racing is strong and the Robinson clan have a multigenerational relationship with Finke. Though Robinson will miss the AORC Pooncarie opener, the Albins STX-equipped 813 will be ready to do battle at the 50th anniversary of the Finke Desert Challenge in June. Both Travis's 2025 title winning 813 truck and Beau's 2024 Finke winning and 2025 AORC runner up 413 vehicle feature the Albins STX gearbox.

Will Travis Robinson make a run for 2026 Motorsport Australia Off Road Championship? Will Beau win his first national title in his new Albins STX-equipped Mason Extreme 4WD? Despite engine issues that sidelined Beau at Round 1 in Pooncarie, he's still fully committed to earning the crown. As for Travis, it may be too early to say, but he is keeping his options open. Regardless, we are excited to watch Travis and Beau back at Finke in 2026.
